Our cellars
Vinex Slavyantsi is split into three main wine cellars: Slavyantsi, Sungurlare, Lozarevo, and Karnobat, all of which use cutting-edge technology to make wine, brandy, and other alcoholic beverages.
About 150,000 hectoliters of wine, aromatized wines, and brandy are produced annually with the help of highly efficient systems and qualified personnel. There are 300,000 hectoliters of vessel capacity, with 200,000 hectoliters for primary wine production and 1,600 200 dm3 oak barrels.
The winery features four advanced technology lines for cold sterile bottling of still and sparkling wine, aromatized wines, rakia, and brandy, as well as a line for packaging “bag in box” with 3 to 10 liters capacity.
History
“From the past to the present, vineyards have been a part of people’s lives in the region.”
In 1898, a wine from the type “Red Misket” made by a local merchant won the first gold medal for white Bulgarian wine at an exhibition in Antwerp, Belgium. The “Renaissance” cooperative established the first wine cellar in Slavyantsi in the 1920s.
The cellars in the villages of Slavyantsi and Sungurlare were formed into independent wine cooperatives, which existed until 1950.
From 1952 to 1995 the company was part of the State Alcohol Monopoly.
In 1995 it was privatized by the workers.
