Vinex Slavyantsi sits in the Sungurlar Valley, a semi-mountainous, hilly terrain at an elevation of 180 to 220 meters. Because of the valley’s proximity to the Balkan Mountains and the Black Sea, the winters are moderate and the summers are hot, with consistent humidity throughout the year.
Temperatures rarely drop below 0° C, and the soils are light, sandy-clayey, woodland, with low fertility, ideal for producing high-quality, flavorful wines.
The vineyards of Vinex Slavyantsi cover an area of around 7,000 acres on the valley’s southern slopes. On their land, a wide range of types are grown:
Whites: Red Misket, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Muscat Ottonel, German Riesling, Vignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Gruner and Pinot Gris.
Reds: Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah.
